I went camping at Hardin Ridge Recreation Area over the weekend. Part of the Hoosier National Forest and located along the shores of Lake Monore, the campground includes 200 sites and several day use areas. Boating, hiking trails, fishing and play areas for kids are located in the campground area. Follow IN State Highway 446 about 10 miles south of Bloomington, look for the Hardin Ridge signs and it's easily accessible from 446. It rained on us during the night but we were warm and dry in our tents. We woke up to sun, bacon (bacon makes everything better) and hiking along the lake on Sunday morning.
