Unfortunately, some Homecoming activties like the parade and pep rally were cancelled due to weather. It has to be a tough call to make as it poured down rain most of the morning. The IU Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Association work hard to put on all sort of crazy homecoming festivities and other events throughout the year.
An exciting event this weekend is the reunion of the original members of the a cappella group Straight No Chaser at the IU Auditoruim. They just signed a five-album deal with ATCO/Atlantic with their first installment "Holiday Spirits" due out at the end of October. If you ever have a chance to see this group of talented guys or the current on-campus incarnation perform, they are always very entertaining.
Congratulations are also in order for the Indiana Alumni Magazine which has been recognized by the University & College Designers Association with an Award of Excellence for the third consecutive year. The Indiana Alumni Magazine is a publication of the IU Alumni Association, which is dedicated to serving the university and its diverse alumni, students and friends.
Some might call me crazy, but I am stickin' with my Hoosier football team as they struggle with a 2-5 record. See ya in the stands . . . . . . . . .
