The Brown County Playhouse kicks off their summer season with the musical The All Night Strut! on June 11. Produced through the Indiana University Department of Theater and Drama this is what I describe as IU's summer stock theater.

A tradition since 1949, The Brown County Playhouse has been providing residence and visitors alike with superb performances in Nashville, Indiana, and is the longest-running professional theatre in Indiana. It is just a short 16 miles east of Bloomington on State Road 46. Generally it only takes 20-30 minutes to traverse this winding road betweeen Nashville and Bloomington, with great scenary along the way.
Three other productions this summer include; There Goes the Bride, starting July 10, Present Laughter, starting August 7 and Driving Miss Daisy, starting September 25.
