Also worth a visit on campus is the Lilly Library, one of the few rare book libraries in the country, which has thousands of pieces available through rotating exhibits.
In the town of Bloomington itself, you’ll find more museums, distinctive art galleries, theaters, and historical sites to explore. The city’s vibrant nightlife provides ample opportunities to see live music. Throughout the year you’ll encounter numerous festivals and events, including the annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival.
Just south of town, take a visit to the Tibetan Cultural Center, which offers a relaxing and peaceful setting for meditation and reflection where you can learn about the fascinating Tibetan culture. If you’re a wine lover, be sure and visit nearby Oliver Winery, Indiana’s oldest and largest winery.
