The 6th Annual Bloomington Chefs Challenge

Community Kitchen invites you to the 6th Annual Bloomington Chefs’ Challenge. Each day our staff and volunteers face the challenge of putting together a nutritious meal for over 300 individuals using collected and donated food items. The Chefs’ Challenge pays tribute to this effort and raises funds to support them while highlighting the talent of local chefs in a friendly competition. Based on television’s popular Iron Chef, the event will feature three local chefs who will have one hour to cook a winning dish from a pantry of ingredients. A “local mystery ingredient” will be revealed right before the competition begins and Chefs will be required to incorporate this item in their dish. Bloomington Community Access Television’s film crews will show close-ups of the fast paced action on the Buskirk Chumley’s big screen. Brad Wilhelm(from Rhino’s Youth Club) and “Rags” Rago(from Nick’s English Hut) will update the audience as the competition heats up and 3 celebrity judges will pick the top dish.
