World AIDS Day Ceremony of Celebration and Remembrance


The Community AIDS Action Group of South Central Indiana will be hosting the annual Ceremony of Celebration and Remembrance on the eve of World AIDS Day in the Fountain Square Mall Ballroom. The event will begin with hors d'ouevres at 5:30 with the ceremony starting at 6:00. Performances will include The Quarryland Men, IU Theatre and Drama students, Opera singer Amanda Biggs, manifestation of the Hoosier Hills Sisters Sanctuary of the Flaming Blue Lotus and event emcee Jim Stevens. The ceremony will include the presentation of the Celia Busch Making a Difference Award and a time of reflection to remember those we have lost to HIV/AIDS. The theme of World AIDS Day 2011 is "Getting to Zero". This theme will run through 2015 with the goal of "Zero New Infections, Zero Discrimination, and Zero Related Deaths".
