Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge

The bulk of Mascatatuck Wildlife Refuge is located southeast of Bloomington, near Seymour, Indiana, however, a nearly 80-acre parcel known as the Restle Unit is located in Monroe County.

A fabulous location for birders and other wildlife enthusiasts, the Mascatatuck Restle Unit is located adjacent to Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve on Bottom Road. Wetland vegetation and nesting sits for the Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagle, and many other species located throughout both the wildlife refuge and the nature preserve.
