Hardin Ridge Recreation Area

Located in the Hoosier National Forest, this 1,200-acre recreational complex is on the shores of Monroe Lake. It includes over 1,000 acres of land with hiking and bicycle trails, a public swimming beach, a large boat ramp, picnic areas and shelters, as well as a full-service campground with over 200 forested campsites and two lakeside cabins for rent.

You can access Hardin Ridge by Highway 446, turning on Chapel Hill Road. A daily-use fee is available at the entrance gate, as well as an annual pass offering unlimited use of the day facilities throughout the season.
