Not so long ago, saving seeds was an important part of gardening. From ancient times until our grandparents' day, favorite strains of vegetables and flowers were renewed from year to year and generation to generation through seed saving. The annual Wylie House Heirloom Seed Sale features over 50 historic varieties of flower, vegetable and herb seeds. All varieties are pre-1850.
The Wylie House recreates and interprets the 1840's household of Indiana University's first president, Andrew Wylie. The annual Heirloom Seed Sale takes place in early March. See the calendar of events for this year's date.
