With over 40,000 objects, the IU Art Museum's collections include works representing nearly every art-producing culture throughout history. Explore ancient Greek pottery, gold jewelry, Renaissance panels and Asian treasures dating back to the third millennium BC. Discover paintings by Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet and Jackson Pollock. Learn about other cultures as you view art from Africa, the South Pacific and the Americas - the museum's African collection is considered among the best in the country. A work of art in its own right, the museum's stunning building was designed by internationally renowned architect I.M. Pei, also responsible for the Louvre Pyramid in Paris. Admission is free.
