2012 Tourism Marketing Grant Winners
Visit Bloomington has announced the winners of its tourism marketing grant funding for 2012. In its fourth year, the grant program will provide up to $30,000 to eight different organizations for events taking place throughout 2012. The grant was developed to help promote and enhance new and existing events through advertising, website development, and other methods geared at audiences outside a 50-mile radius of Monroe County. ... more |

Bloomington Convention & Visitors Bureau Achieves Destination Marketing Accreditation
The Bloomington Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today that it has once again been awarded accreditation by the Washington, DC based Destination Marketing Association International. This accreditation program for destination marketing organizations covers a wide variety of standards including governance, finance, management, human resources, technology, visitor services, group services, sales, communications, membership, brand management, destination development, research/market intelligence, innovation and stakeholder relationships. ... more |

Tourism Industry Celebrated in Bloomington
As part of a week-long program to celebrate the local tourism industry, the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted a reception on May 12 at The Bishop in downtown Bloomington.
