Midwest Hoosier Classic Wrestling

The event will take place at the Bloomington SportsPlex.

VENUE:  The Bloomington SportsPlex is located on West Bloomfield Road (Second Street), just east of Highway 37.

ENTRY INFORMATION: The entry fee is $35. All entries must be made through TrackWrestling at www.trackwrestling.com.  Deadline for entries is Midnight, Sunday, May 17th. (EST)

EVENT ADMISSION: The event will be open to the public. Daily admission fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for students (ages 5-18).

COACHES PASS: All coaches must have a coaches pass in order to have access to the floor. Cost of the pass is $10; must show AAU Coaches Card and valid ID. Must be at least 18 years of age.

AAU CARDS: All coaches and participants must be current AAU card holders.  AAU cards can be obtained online at www.aausports.org.

AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded for the champion wrestler in each division; medals will be awarded to those who place 2nd-8th.

WEIGH IN: Wrestlers must weigh in on Friday, May 22 between 6 and 8 pm at the Bloomington SportsPlex.

WEIGHT & AGE DIVISIONS: All wrestlers must make the weight declared on entry. Weigh in wearing singlet is required.

The participant's birth year shall deterime the indiviudal's eligibility for specific competition. Proof of age for disputes or challenges shall be a machine photocopy of the original birth record issued by county, state or federal government, photocopy of original driver's license. Do not send originals. Tournament Committee will not be responsible for the return of any documents. There is no separate division for male and female participants.

*  For Elite Division, birth year 1990 - wrestler must be born in 1990, still in high school and be able to provide proof, otherwise the wrestler will be placed in the Senior Division.

MATCH TIMES: Tots, Bantam, Midget, Novice and Masters Divisions will wrestle three 1.5 minute periods (championship rounds). Schoolboy, Cadet, Elite and Senior Divisions will wrestle three 2 minute periods (championship rounds). Subject to change basd on entry numbers.

Minimum rest time between bouts is 15 minutes.

Numbered bout system will be used.

Round Robin brackets will be used for divisions with six or less wrestlers. Eight, 16, 32 and 64 man brackets will be used as necessary.

National High School rules will be followed except as noted and AAU Wrestling rule exceptions.

AAU Wrestling Executive Committee will be in place.

WRESTLING SCHEDULE: Doors will open at 8 am. Wrestling will begin at 9 am, Saturday, May 23 and will continue until the conclusion of the event.
