If you're like me, you can't get enough of the holidays. The lights go up and the cookie cutters come out the day after Thanksgiving. Don't even get me started on my top 25 favorite carols.

But not everyone is like me, and maybe you just want some regular Bloomington fabulousness this December. Fear not! Here is a list of nine completely awesome events happening this December in Bloomington. (And in case you're wondering, here's a blog post on upcoming holiday events!)

On the first Friday of every other month, Bloomington's downtown galleries are pleased to open their doors for an evening of arts, entertainment, and food. Enjoy the sparkling canopy of holiday lights that illuminate the square as you walk from gallery to gallery.

IU Baroque Orchestra - December 6

The Indiana University Baroque/Classical Orchestra is a major ensemble whose members perform on period instruments - instruments restored to their original specifications, or copies of original 17th and 18th century instruments. The repertoire performed is selected from music composed in the 17th and 18th century. Repertoire to be announced.
