Every year after the holidays are over and the wrapping paper is put up in the attic for another year, what we remember the most are the memories we make and the time we spend with family and friends. We'd love to welcome you to Bloomington this winter, where you can revisit beloved traditions and make new memories. Here are some holiday events that are sure to warm your heart!

Canopy of Lights

Canopy of Lights

Celebrate our sparkling holiday tradition of lighting the downtown lights with Bloomington Brass Band playing holiday tunes. City and County officials as well as Polka Dot the Clown will be on hand to welcome Santa to the stage to light the Canopy of Lights. Costume characters, hot chocolate, holiday snacks and more will help with the festive atmosphere.

Holly Days: Christmas with the Bloomington Symphony
November 28

Start your ho-ho-holidays off right with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra! All your favorite Christmas music plus an audience sing-along adds up to magical memories for the whole family. The 5:30pm, kid-friendly concert finishes just in time for you to catch the Canopy of Lights celebration on the Square, while the 8:00 pm show is the perfect ending to a perfect holiday tradition!

The 13 members of Bloomington's Antique Dealers Association team up for a weekend of Bloomington's best vintage, retro, antique and industrial shopping. Visit the local shops for your holiday shopping needs, and also enjoy raffles for gift certificates, refreshments and fun.
