Mike's shave & a haircut at Vega Stylista's Foxhole

Categories: General

Vega Stylista SignFor my birthday from my wife I received a wonderful Vega Stylista's Foxhole gift certificate for a shave and scalp massage. I easily made an appointment for the "Lock, Stock and Barrell" through their website, www.vegastylistasfoxhole.com. The LSB is described "for men who prefer a completely shaved look, we now offer this service that includes a full head and face shave using a safety razor, hot towel and rich lather. Includes a complimentary scalp massage." Sounded perfect for me.

I arrived and was treated royally with a hand-pressed cup of excellent coffee I enjoyed while being shaved. Samantha was a pro with the razor, she gave a fabulous scalp massage with her golden hands and she was very cool to talk to about Bloomington. Three hot towels later, I was happy and refreshingly shaved. The atmosphere at the Foxhole was laid back and fun, with a pinball machine and old blues music playing on the sound system. The whole thing was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.

The Foxhole is located at 403 S. Walnut in Downtown Bloomington next to the Chocolate Moose. They are open Tuesday through Saturday, and although walk-ins are welcome, it's best to make an appointment.

Here's a Before and After of the LSB!
