Summer is over and fall is here . . .

Categories: Indiana University

A very busy summer, hence my lack of posting for a bit . . . .

Fall finds Bloomington in the midst of the largest freshman class in the history of Indiana University.  Not only the largest but the smartest as GPA and SAT scores rank extremely high as well.

The Hoosier football team is off to a 2-2 start.  Not what I had hoped for, but  IU played four quarters for the most part against Michigan State this past weekend.  The weather has been incredible for all the games so far and I am waiting for the fall chill to make a sweatshirt necessary.

October means two things in Bloomington, the leaves changing around the third week and Celebrate IU month.   Celebrate IU is a salute to academics, arts, and athletics with many events taking place throughout the month, most notably Homecoming festivities.

Other opportunities abound as well with all the arts organizations on campus kicking off their seasons.  IU Ballet Theater opens its season with world-premiere choreography from Department Chair,  Michael Vernon and the annual holiday favorite The Nutcracker performance in December a must see for all ages.

Fall has definitely arrived in Bloomington.
