Company Danzante is an Arlington-based dance company, founded in 2013, that focuses on performing and promoting contemporary dance. Company Danzante has performed at venues such as the Kennedy Center, the Dance Gallery Festival in NYC, the Manhattan Movement Center.

The Jedi Handbook: March 30 - April 13 | Bloomington Playwrights Project | 7:30 pm
The Jedi Handbook is a coming of age story about a young boy who survives growing older with help from The Force. Experiencing the Star Wars franchise anew, through the eyes and imagination of a kid, The Jedi Handbook takes us on a nostalgic journey back to an era we can all relate to – our childhood. IU Cinema

The Banff Mountain Film Festival: March 30 - March 31 | Buskirk-Chumley Theater | Saturday: 7:00 pm, Sunday: 5:00 pm
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, a program of The Banff Centre, is the largest and one of the most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. The tour hits the road with stops planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe. This year's tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival. The films for the two Bloomington screenings are different each night. Films will be announced in March here.

Buskirk-Chumley Theater not only has concerts but also films. During February, BCT is playing classics such as Psycho (1960) and a premiere film screening of Palace (2019). Tickets range from $5-$15.

The IU Cinema has films playing almost every day of the month. They are also holding Mexico Remixed Series. Most events are free, but the price for ticketed events is usually under $10.

The Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar is a free multicultural arts-and-education event for kids and families. Volunteers from the Bloomington community (and around the world) present arts, music, language, and international crafts. More than 30 activity stations let kids get their hands on the world so grab your passport at the door, and go explore! Appropriate for all ages, but especially fun for kids K-6.

Nia Jones

Nia is Visit Bloomington’s Content Coordinator. She is a proud Chicago native, but after attending IU, she has yet to leave Bloomington. Her favorite thing about B-Town is the diversity and culture that is found in this small town in the Midwest.  She enjoys exploring new places around town and cheering on the Hoosiers. It’s her goal to try every ethnic restaurant in Bloomington by the end of 2019.
