Where in Bloomington... #3

Categories: Arts & Culture

Congratulations to Tuesday's winner! I would also like to compliment all of our blog readers - you guys are really good at this stuff!

In case you missed it, Tuesday's photo was taken at Armstrong Stadium's cinder track, where the annual Little 500 Bicycle Race takes place. The race was made famous around the world by the movie Breaking Away. Armstrong Stadium itself is famous among collegiate soccer fans for an entirely different reason.... it's the home turf of the seven-time NCAA National Champion IU Hoosiers Men's Soccer Team.
(Yes, I said SEVEN time champs - that's more national championships that the famed Hoosiers basketball team!)  This year's soccer season kicks off on Aug. 22 at Armstrong Stadium. Go Hoosiers!

Now, on to today's Where in Bloomington photo!
