Position Description
Supervise programs, personnel, spectators and use of facility. Enforce departmental policies; prepare reports; do periodic trash pick up and restroom sanitation; request supplies and report maintenance problems to Switchyard Park General Manager; provide assistance to any injured spectator or participant; serve as an information and public relations resource for the Parks and Recreation Department; submit accurate bi-weekly payroll; other duties as required.
Education
High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college preferred.
Experience/Special Skills
Ability to work well with people; ability to think quickly and exercise good judgment; must be self-motivated. Some experience supervising recreation programs and facilities desired.
License/Certification
Successful completion of CPR and first aid certification required. Training available through Parks and Recreation Department if needed.
Hours
Hours based upon events. 8-15 hours per week for rentals. During April to end of October possible increase to 24 hours per week. Potential hours: Weekdays, 5:30-11 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m.-11 p.m. mid-April through October.
Salary
$14.21-$15.01 per hour
