A Christmas Story

In the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie attempts to convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa that a Red Ryder B.B. gun really is the perfect Christmas gift.

The film earned two Genie Awards for director Bob Clark. In 2012, the A Christmas Story was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
