Dog Tricks and More with Sarah DeLone
Working dogs do a variety of jobs: herding, agility, and therapy to name a few. Why are dogs able to do these things? How do they learn? Join Monroe County Humane Association’s VIPaws coordinator, Sarah DeLone and some fabulous four-footers to explore these questions.
DeLone's human and animal teams visit schools, nursing homes, and other places in the community to provide benefits for both people and pets. “It’s all about increasing the human and animal bond,” DeLone said in an interview with BLOOM magazinee. Animals are therapeutic, she says, because they “change the whole energy of a room.”
Meet these amazing dogs in person and watch them as they show off the skills they have worked so hard to learn. Join us for a duck herding demo, and agility demo with jumps, weaving, and more!
