It Starts Here: How Can Bloomington Become a Strong Town

Charles Marohn, president of Strong Towns, a national nonprofit working to strengthen financial resilience in America’s towns and cities, will be presenting to the public on Thursday, August 3rd.

At 7 PM, Mr. Marohn will give a lecture titled “It Starts Here”, at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater at 114 E. Kirkwood Ave. He will be doing a book sale and signing before the lecture starting at 6 PM. This presentation will showcase Strong Towns’ innovative approach to community growth, which focuses on how a community can grow stronger by making small, incremental investments over time, both at the government and citizen level. Mr. Marohn will also open the floor for discussion with attendees. Public officials and local change-advocates are especially invited to attend.
