Due to unforeseen circumstances, Director/Choreographer Noa Shadur will no longer be present for this screening. Director/Choreographer Elizabeth Shea and Director Allen Hahn are scheduled to be present.

A post-screening discussion exploring the dynamic relationship between dance and film will follow the films.

Mr. Gaga

Mr. Gaga (2015, Tomer Heymann) focuses on the work and influence of world-renowned Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin, artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company. The film’s dynamic mix of rehearsal footage, unseen archival materials, and breathtaking dance sequences makes Naharin’s work nearly as palpable on the screen as it is on the stage.

Give Me a Break

Three girls are finding their way through a labyrinth of corridors, drawing a path of potential encounters, only possible for a partial amount of time. Separation is inevitable.

Breath | Light | Stone

Breath | Light | Stone was shot on location in Bloomington, Ind., and co-created by IU faculty Allen Hahn and Elizabeth Shea.
