Monroe County United Ministries (MCUM), a secular, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides affordable childcare to low-income working families and basic needs assistance to those experiencing financial difficulties, will hold its annual Spring Into Action! Luncheon & Auction on Sunday, April 30 at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center. Doors will open at 12 p.m. for the silent auction, followed by lunch and a formal program beginning at 12:30. All proceeds raised at the event will be used to support its childcare and emergency services programs. We will be making a very exciting announcement about our childcare program – you won’t want to miss it!

At the event guests can bid on an exciting array of items in the silent auction including scuba diving lessons, golf passes and packages from local restaurants. This year’s live auction begins at 1:30 p.m. and features a weekend getaway to Louisville, KY. Thanks to the Raymond Foundation, guests will also have an opportunity to stretch their donations even further through a match on all cumulatively-raised, unrestricted donations up to $10,000.

Participation in this event can help parents stay employed, prepare young children for success in school, feed hungry families, prevent homelessness, encourage self-sufficiency, and much more!

Tickets are available online. They are $28 for adults, $15 for you ages 5-12 and free for children under 5 years old. Tables of eight are also available for purchase for $200. For more information please visit MCUM’s website or contact Katie Broadfoot at kbroadfoot@mcum.org or 812-339-3429 ext. 14. Come prepared to bid on unique auction items and have a great time!
