For Gallery Walk, Movement in Color, “Pour ‘n More” Paintings by Anabel Hopkins at The Venue

For April’s Gallery Walk, on Friday, April 5th, beginning at 5:00 p.m., The Venue Fine Art & Gifts will feature an Exhibition of Paintings by Anabel Hopkins, entitled Movement in Color.

Anabel’s painting background covers the range from impressionist landscapes to non-objective abstracts. She is recognized as one of the foremost abstract Artists in the mid-west, having had her works juried into the Hoosier Salon and National Abstract Show. She has won numerous awards for her impressionist paintings. She is a juried member of the Indiana Artisan Project, a program to support and promote the best artists and artisans in Indiana. As an active leader in the Brown County arts community, she has spearheaded numerous public art projects, film festivals, art workshops, conferences and the Fourth Friday Village Art Walk.

“Pour ‘n More” Acrylic Abstract paintings are created through the “brushless” pouring technique. This technique is all the rage across the world right now, and Anabel is in its forefront in the Bloomington area. With it she creates colorful, dynamic paintings that draw the viewer in to experience the cells, swirls, lacing and other features that can only be created employing these fluid acrylic pouring methods.

As is our custom at The Venue, we will be serving gourmet soup and other treats, so JOIN US
