With the fall comes our November Gallery Walk. This month we're excited to welcome, from Columbus, Ohio, weaver Sarah Harste. The beauty, warmth, and color of Sarah's weavings will make an incredible impact on our gallery wall for the fall season, and we cannot wait to hang them!

Sarah Harste is a self-taught fiber artist who weaves her pieces on frame looms of various sizes. She teaches weaving classes across the Midwest to fellow fiber lovers.

Artist Statement
I use color and texture in my work to explore the tension between who we are when we're guarded from the world and when we're unfiltered, when we're completely who we really are. I struggle with this tension constantly: the line between being put together, presentable, reserved and being warm, effusive, bubbling over with too much of me. I think worrying about this line often botches my ability to truly connect with others and be authentically myself. Here I'm using weaving to explore this tension and to find ways to be me, unfiltered.

Sarah will be hosting both a macrame plant hanger class and an intro to weaving class at Gather on Jan. 20. Reserve your seats now! Makes for great holiday gifts!!! Minimum space available - see FB event for details.
