The Divine Feminine in Everyday Ritual -

First Friday | Gallery Walk Opening Reception

Featuring Indianapolis based potter Rebecca Graves Prowse with locally sourced chef-created nibbles from Jason Michael Thomas of Urban Awareness Gardens Indianapolis.

from the artist:
Little daily rituals add up to the things that keep us motivated and moving forward. Rituals like morning coffee, taking a hot shower (or cold if that’s what you’re into), enjoying a really good piece of chocolate like @bestchocolateintown or sitting quietly and contemplating your gratitude for today.
Often, we are completely unaware of the rituals we’ve created for ourselves until someone else notices and points them out to us, but we do know that if we miss them or they don’t go quite right it can throw off our rhythm.
One of my favorite daily rituals is washing the clay off my face before bed and moisturizing with my favorite face cream from @bumbleandco because the sweet lavender and rose fragrance reminds me it is time to slow down and find my way to relaxation.

These little ritual bowls designed for my show: The Divine Feminine in Everyday Ritual at @gathershoppe opening May 3rd are perfect for some of those daily rituals. A little piece of chocolate in a special bowl. An incense cone burning during yoga. A nibble of a snack. A place to put your tea bag when it’s done steeping. A bowl of sea salt for cooking to sprinkle with a flourish as you plate your food. A place to put your earrings when you take them off before bed. A special little bowl for life’s daily rituals.
I’d love it if you’d join me in celebrating the opening of the show May 3rd at @gathershoppe ! If you can’t make it there in person, join me in the stories and I’ll walk you through it all!
