Bloomington, Ind. -- Visit Bloomington has announced the winners of its tourism marketing grant funding for 2015. In its seventh year, the grant program will provide close to $33,000 to 15 different organizations for events taking place throughout 2015. The grant was developed to help promote and enhance new and existing events through marketing and advertising, targeting audiences outside a 50-mile radius of Monroe County. Each application was judged on a variety of criteria, including ability to draw attendees from outside Monroe County, ability to increase hotel occupancy, and placement of event during non-peak times of the year. The 2015 winners are:

  • IU Cinema's Orson Welles Centennial Celebration and Symposium (April 29-May 2) - $5,000
  • Limestone Comedy Festival (June 4-6) - $4,600
  • Bloomington PRIDE Film Festival (January 29-31) - $4,000
