FAR Center for Contemporary Arts is an open canvas, ready to house some of the outpourings from the vibrant arts community of Bloomington, Indiana. FAR is home to Pictura Gallery, with its established yearly program of contemporary photography exhibits. We welcome performances in dance, poetry, music, theater, and art.

  • Description Looking for an intimate setting for a reception, family dinner, or party? Pictura gallery, on the square in downtown Bloomington, offers an upscale space where guests can enjoy events amidst stunning fine art photography. *Seats up to 50 dinner guests *Accommodates up to 200 guests for standing cocktail parties or receptions *$75 per hour, two hour minimum. Deposit of $150 due upon booking. *Available evenings, all day Sundays and Mondays, and other times by special arrangement *Contact Martha Moore martha@picturagallery.com , or 812-336-0000. Martha willingly works with each renter as needed to ensure a quality event.

  • Space Notes The gallery has a separate kitchen with small refrigerator, microwave, and sink. A large table in the kitchen provides workspace for food preparation or catering needs. The gallery has large windows on two sides offering great views of the Courthouse. Windows are equipped with louvered blinds so guests can regulate their privacy.
