To help serve this need, Downtown Bloomington offers many parking opportunities.

On-Street Parking

Rate: Metered, on-street parking is available in downtown Bloomington at a rate of $0.25 per 15 minutes.

Payment Options: Meters will accept $1 coins, quarters, dimes and nickels. Meters will also accept MasterCard, Visit and Discover cards, however a convenience fee of $0.30 per transaction will be added and there is a one-hour minimum purchase. Meters do not accept paper currency and do not give change. You can also use the Parkmobile app, with which you can select a given amount of time to be added to your meter, or use the Pay-As-You-Go feature (you are responsible for any fees incurred if you forget to stop the timer when you return to your car).

Enforcement Times & Days: Meters are enforced Monday through Saturday, from 9am to 9pm. On-street parking is free on Sundays and City holidays. In December, Saturday parking in the public garages including Morton Street, 4th Street, and Walnut Street, is free.
