Free Parking

There are certain designated days and times when parking is free on the Indiana University campus. This means no permit is required, nor does it require you pay the meter or the parking attendant — click here for locations and availability.

Visitor Daily Permits

Visitor permits are issued daily and can be obtained at the Bloomington Visitors Center, the Indiana Memorial Union, IU Residence Halls, or the Office of Parking Operations. Visitors may also use one of several metered parking areas or paid parking facilities on campus.

Metered Parking

Various Meter parking options are available on campus. Meters are enforced Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Parking Garages

There are five parking garages on campus. Rates are dependent on the length of time used and accepted payment is dependent on garage.

Parking is free from 6:00 pm on Friday through 7:00 am on Monday, unless otherwise noted. If you have an EM-P permit, you may access the garages free of charge any time.

Atwater Garage
921 E. Atwater Avenue

Located on Faculty Drive between 3^rd Street and Atwater Avenue. Ideal for visiting the Jacobs School of Music and Musical Arts Center.

East Garage
150 N. Jordan Avenue

Located at the corner of Jordan Avenue between 3^rd Street and 7^th Street. Ideal for visiting the Jacobs School of Music, Musical Arts Center, and Neal Marshall Center.

M-Th: 7:00 am-10:00 pm
F: 7:00 am-6:00 pm

Parking Permissions: Upper Deck: EM-S zoned parking, paid visitor. The lower deck is zoned EMP parking and follows enforcement hours of all zoned lots.

Fee Lane Garage
709 N. Fee Lane

Located at the corner of 11^th Street and Fee Lane. Ideal for visiting the Kelley School of Business and the Cox Arboretum.

Forrest Avenue Garage
1015 E. Eleventh Street

Located on Eleventh Street, between Forrest Avenue and Walnut Grove Street.

Located on Fess Avenue between Atwater Avenue and 3^rd Street. Ideal for visiting the Old Crescent area of campus.

Poplars Garage
415 E. Sixth Street

Located on 6^th Street, between Grant Street and Dunn Street. Ideal for visiting Sample Gates, the Indiana Memorial Union, and the Old Crescent area of campus.
