BuffaLouie's
Try the delicious Sweet Lou burger from BuffaLouie's, near Sample Gates off of Indiana University's campus. The Sweet Lou burger has bacon, cheddar cheese, onion ring, and sweet Q sauce. They also have several other burgers on their menu, including the Gables burger, as well as vegetarian burgers like the Black Bean Burger.
C3
A burger from C3 may not be your first thought, but it is definitely a great one. The C3 Burger has Indiana ground beef, aged cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, LTO, mayo, pickles, hand-cut frites. Located on the south side of town, grab an upscale burger from C3.
Hive
Grab one of the many Smashburgers from Hive, including their Hive Burger. Their Hive Burger has pickles, grilled onions, and American cheese. Also, try their Fried Egg Burger, similar to the Hive Burger but includes a Rhodes Farm fried egg, or the Deluxe Burger, with pickles, grilled onions, shredded lettuce, tomato, deluxe, and American cheese.
Poindexter
Poindexter also has a fantastic Smashburger called the Graduate Smash Burger. The burger features two beef patties, american cheese, house sauce, brioche bun. Located inside of The Graduate Hotel, Poindexter is a great place to head if you find yourself on Kirkwood Avenue.
Trojan Horse
In the mood for extra meat? Order Trojan Horse's Better Burger. The burger has not only one, but two hamburger patties. The sandwich can be done with or without cheese. You can dress it up with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, pickle, onion, tartar sauce, mustard, mayonnaise, or ketchup.
The Vault Pub
The Vault Pub, located inside of the Indiana Memorial Union on the heart of IU's campus, has an amazing Fischer Farms 1/2 Pound Burger ready to order. The burger will be cooked to your liking with lettuce, pickle, and onion on a King's Hawaiian Bun. You can add various types of cheese as well as bacon, caramelized onions, and BBQ sauce.
