Simple Blessings Cabin
Simple Blessings Cabin is nestled in the rolling hills of eastern Monroe County between IU campus and Nashville. It is newly renovated to offer rustic elegance that allows you to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Just a short distance off of Highway 46, drive up the 1/4+ mile private lane to discover this secluded 16-acre retreat. The cabin is made from hand-hewn poplar logs harvested from the land in the 1970s. It has been lovingly restored to offer a new kitchen with knotty hickory cabinets, stainless steel appliances, broken-edged, granite counter tops and a hammered cooper sink. The open concept flows into the living area complete with a leather couch, hickory lodge rockers and a big, comfy "cow" chair. You can relax and watch the gas burning log stove, the 48" flat-screen TV and the many birds out the picture window. The screened- in porch offers the perfect spot for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and a full bath. The bedrooms each feature queen-size, extra gnarly, Aspen log beds from Colorado/Utah and the highlight of the new bathroom is the travertine tile and glass shower complete with a rain-flow shower head. The outdoor space is peaceful with no neighbors or traffic in sight. Deer, birds, squirrels and wild turkey abound. There is also a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, a park-style charcoal grill and a hiking trail. It is a wonderful place to reconnect with your spouse, family, friends, faith and nature. This cabin does not allow smoking or pets. Please visit Airbnb.com to make your reservation.
